Tom

I went to the big truck this afternoon to move it closer to the house and found that my radio and clock don't work.  I checked the fuses and they seem to be ok.  I guess the lightening or rain must've killed it. I didn't think that the crack in the windshield from the other day was all the way through. It looks like water has been running into the floor on the driver's side so the confounded thing must be leaking.

Drat!  That was one of the funnest things about riding in my truck was the good radio.  I'd listen to talk and sing to the songs and play with the search and seek.

Guess I gotta go get that fixed.  It's pretty important. :-/ :)

Oh well Tom, just put yer feet up on the lounger and start clicking the remote this weekend. :D

Weather- real gully washer last night. Just a rumble of thunder and then a sound like a freight train. I checked to make *sure* it wasn't wind- had it been wind we'd have been in trouble.. There was a slight tendency to come in from the north side, but mostly it was beating down and sheeting off. Nature saying AMEN to the watering I'd been doing with the soaker hose. It's soaked alright. We really needed it- grass in the pasture was just starting to go dormant in the hot places.

Now trux- mine is a sweety- but now the volume control won't budge so ya get what ya get. I can hear OK if the windows are mostly all the way yup..I'd like to retrofit with a radio/cd player and keep the same speakers and balancing system.  lw

No complaints on the weather here.  Canada finally got it right and sent the cool air down when we need it – in the summer time.  Yesterday morning it was 57 – high was only 72.  Been cool all week and next week looks about the same.

My ol' Roadmaster has a great radio. :)

Them old timers in their FORD's, can't expect the radio to work. ;) Grandfather had 8 Fords in succession and the radios all were dudds. Now that Roadmaster would have a nice Delco radio. ;) My father has had 3 Buicks (Le Sabre, Park Avenue and Road Master) all with fine radios. ;D

the radio in my '69 beer-truck-now-a-dump-truck is a very important accessory.  When the static gets a certain rythym I know the 2-speed axle ain't going to function in 4th and 5th.  Bad wiring.  Add it to the list of stuff that needs fixin'  ::)

Well the radio in my truck works ok, Tape player runs about 2 x's the normal speed, it's ok if you like hearing the chipmunks sing all the songs.  :D

I did open the drivers door the other day and the hings pins fell out  :o  Stopped by the farm store and bought a couple of grade 8 bolts, tapped them in with a hammer...Good to go. ;D
