I found this tool online for pulling small trees out of the ground and was wondering if anyone here has used it and how well it works? My thinking is that if I just cut/mow brush and small trees down they'll want to sprout back up unless the roots come out? Thank you for reading.

Never used that version- http://extractigator.com

I have however spent many hours (four years of college work study) pulling buckthorn, multiflora rose, and other invasives with weed wrenches of a similar design.  The taller they are, the easier to pull, but the harder to lug around.

All in all, they work great for a hand powered tool.
1985 JD 440D, ASV tracked skid steer w/ winch, Fecon grapple, & various attachments, Hitachi CG-30 tracked dump truck, CanyCom S25 crawler carrier, Volvo EC35C mini-ex, Kubota 018-4 mini-ex, Cormidi 100 self loading tracked dumper, various other little trail building machines and tools...

I also have spent many hours in college pulling buckthorn, never ending.  Great tool though!

Thanks guys! And thanks for posting the link Offthebeatenpath.

"The taller they are, the easier to pull, but the harder to lug around." ....I could probably attach a cheater pipe to it and get it to work better.

With the optional base plate and shipping from Canada it's going to cost almost $200. But from what you all are saying it seems like a great tool. Looks like I'll just buy it.
