I was wondering if you can get the side cover off the winch without removing the winch  from the machine? Winch has been sitting awhile and I need to clean it up inside.

if you mean the clutch side then yes, take off all the hoses and cover bolts and there are two threaded holes in the cover. use two 1/2" bolts in them to force the cover off. there may be other things to take off, its been a while for me. others will chime in.
