Brought this saw thinking  it was a 2101 till the string pulled through the pulley. I got a 2100 cover and it didn't fit. After the Grande Dog at Bailey's figured it out the saw was a 480 with a 100cc head . Husky doesn't stock the pulley anymore and I tryed to get the other one welded but it only warped .
Any suggestions or do you know a place that may have alot of scrap  Husky 480 saws. I know where to find a few 2100's

Michael

I like to help people but I can't figure why most that ask for it have their Email blocked. I know they think it is better to post here and share with the world. Sometimes the world isn't interested in your 480 or whatever. Is there something I have missed about keeping your Email private? It isn't like a phone number where you don't want people calling your home is it? I got my Email account so I could communicate with people. Why would I block it?  Yea I know this does not have much to do with chain saws but it bugs me.  Mike
If you need saws or parts I may be able to help.

Just unticked my box about the E-mail must of been a default thing . I can see your point on the block but that wasn't the case of the sinister  saw -psycho. Yes I want to communicate.

Many people prefer to keep their email private in an often futile attempt to reduce the spam they recieve....
You can allways use the forum IM system to communicate with another forum member if it's a non-forum thing and swap email adress there  :)

Ianab is 100 percent right.  Click on the persons name, pull the screen down, and click on send the member a private personal message.  There you can safely exchange emails if you want with out making them available in public.  Spammers are constantly looking for pubicly posted emails.

Absolutely, any member can contact another member using the instant messages. There is NO reason to publish your email here for the rest of the world to see if you dont want to and plenty of reasons not to. Spammers have spydering software that goes out to forums and harvests email addresses and this is our little way of trying to keep them from getting it here.  I dont have mine ticked because I need to be available to our guests. If I was not running this website you can be DanG sure i would have mine blocked.

I get and send E-mail to members but use the IM system for most communication.  I have used IM to communicate E-mail addresses too.  It's a smart thing to do.  I've seen folks put other people's E-mail address, phone number or addresses on a post and that is a definite NO-NO. It's unfortunate that there are so many out there trying to send that obnoxious, trashy email spam to every Tom, Dick and Harry they can bother.

There is also an icon beneath the member name at the left of each post that will take you directly to a blank IM page addressed to him.  It's right below "I need to update my profile"  :D :D :D  ........or your picture :)
