This saw has always had oil under it, sometime a little sometimes a lot. I tried sitting it in different positions but never figured it out because I don't use it regularly....my local repair guy thinks it leaks from the oiler hose (inside cover underneath) . It looks OK but where it goes into the tank it may be coming from there. My Echo book has a diagram of the cover plate removed and that hose with a filter (drawn with dotted lines) indicating it came out the side of the tank but it also says to clean the filter you pick it up through the oil port.
So how does that hose get replaced, can you pull it out somehow from the side of the tank ??
This has been a terrific tool for me, retired old lady.

The oil line can be changed but be sure the bar oil holes aren't plugged from sawdust.
If the oil can't get into the bar it will run down the outside of it.
