My 648 g3 thru a f495 code. It was only on for a short time and I'm thinking it has something to do with the engine temp. Can anyone help me and also is there somewhere I could go to download the code info. My JD dealer won't print out and fax me the code meanings no matter how much money I spend with them.

They won't tell you what an f495 is over the phone? What do they want you to do, have a $500 service call? ::) I don't have any experience with machines that new, sorry. The 3-53 in the TJ208 sent up a fault code in the form of a big cloud of smoke last week. :D

Try calling Brad @ Nortrax in Clifton Park. He does parts but they all seem pretty decent to help someone out. I saw a company that specializes in rebuilding and making parts for the G3's online. They may know.

That really makes you want to do business with them.

We have terrible luck with John Deere and we have three machines. I looked in the book and the codes only go to 477. Sure it's not F475 that is fuel de rate wich usually comes on when it's hot

Firewoodjoe

Well they jump from 477 to the 900s if I remember right. I don't have the book now being as that just crossed my mind. But no 495

try searching/ posting on a heavy equipment forum.  Some one else must have had the same problem before.

best of luck.

It must have been F475. It went out when she cooled down. This thing throws codes all the time. Electrical problems. Has thrown a clutch slipage code for months. There is nothing wrong with the tranny that's for sure. never gets hot, never needs fluid and if I get in trouble with it she stalls instantly. Thanks for all the advice.

Yeah they just do. Good luck. And good luck with your dealer. We only have cat and Deere and the cat is 7,000 pounds heavier so we'd like to not go that rout. The deeres are good machines though. 14,000 hours on a 04. Torque converter machines.
