Hi I am new to this forum I need some help with a Sanborn Minimax 636 Setworks. I cant identify the make/brand of the setworks but it is an electromagnetic type that can be calibrated from the gears attached to some weels and a electromagnetic clutch in the box that is connected to the Sprocket that opens and closes the head blocks. I need to get instructions or a schematic on this. Or Instructions on how to calibrate the thickness of the lumber. The problem is that it would work fine for one cut and then it would not give you the correct thickness or stop working completely when you try pushing the button for the next cut. I dont know if someone messed around with the settings of it but I am having a lot of trouble finding someone who can repair this. I live in Trinidad & Tobago and we dont have much/any people that I know to fix this. The mill is a 1995 model. I will try posting a picture of the box so it can be identified. PLEASE HELP if you know about this type of setworks.

Have you tried getting in touch with Sanborn?  They're still in business and still make that mill.

Here's their website:  http://sanbornautosaw.com/   Although it says its under construction and the links aren't working.
Here's their Email: info @ SanbornAutoSaw.com
They have a phone number if you want to go to the expense of a long distance call.

They should be able to give you the technical help you need, and any parts that you need.

What kind of wood are you sawing down in the islands?  I've only been to a few islands that had trees of any size that looked worthwhile.  Those were islands that weren't in the hurricane zone.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
