job description for saw smith

Seeking individual with at least 5 yrs experience in saw-smithing. Must be experienced in inspecting, straightening and tensioning circular saw blades up to 28" diameter and returning them to factory tolerance. Utilizing hammer and anvil techniques as well as roll tensioning. 8)

Shawn, I sent you an email before reading this. I now have my doubts if this is a sawmill, but more then likely a pallot operation. The sawsize would limit it to that I think. There maybe some guys left from Lafeve saw out of saginaw.

They no longer do our big saws, but they still list a phone number, and they would know almost everyone in the state that works on saws. Willard La Fave was owner and saw guru.
