Wow! an overhead trolley for the sawhead. No masts or posts to get in the way of anything. Can't wait to see it in operation.

I have never seen one of those. First time I heard of one was on here maybe a couple years ago. Could of been yours.   :)  Where was that made? Do you know when they started to build them?

They are descent mills, although very heavy.

One thing about them is that there is a lot of potential to modify them and make a small production scragg mill out of the frame.

Nice mill and I am sure it will saw well for you.

I've seen pictures of one of these before and like it. Mainly for the idea of using it for other things, like a slabber.

I've seen these mills and I think they are pretty cool. Haven't seen any with the had loader. That's neat. The ones that I've seen would only hold a miss16 ft log. Will yours mill longer. Good job on the pix and thanks for posting them. EZ

The guy I bought it from said it was supposed to cut 24' logs but I don't see how more like 20' 36" dia.
The specs I saw said the 20' model weighed 3400 lbs but I think its heavier than that maybe 5-6000'.
It was made in Kell, Ill around 2000, in production from '93-2013 when Frank Keener died, his boy said they weren't going to make them anymore.
It saws good now but when I got it, Oh Boy, wouldn't cut strait for nuthin, lots of adjusting, new roller guides, going back to 1.5" blades, cussin, fuming, and more cussin, adjusting the head back to square with the bed was3/8" lower on one side, now it saws good but slower than I need it to be for production.

I know a guy in AR that has one of those. You didn't buy that north of Russellville did you?

JB Griffin

I did buy it northeast of Russellville in between Marshall and Leslie.
Back in May I was down in Pope co. on Victor Rd. doing a 9000 bdft. saw job for a horse riding trail bunch to build a stable out of.
