Have not run my 575XP since spring as I needed a couple of anti-vibration springs for it and I just never got them.  Well, we got about 4" or rain last night so today was the "project" day.  Put the new springs on the saw and began to cut some this afternoon.  Saw would start up just fine, then would not idle once warm.  So I figured the carb needed adjusting.  Of course the book only speaks to the auto tune versions and my saw was pre auto-tune.

I tried to tune it like I would my Stihl, only problem is the "T" screw on the Husky does not seem to work the same as the idle speed screw on the Stihl, so I may have turned it too far.

Can anybody tell me where to start the 3 screws?  "H" "L" are pretty limited on how far they will turn as they have a stop on the shaft, but "T" will turn multiple turns.

When you say the saw won't idle, what exactly do you mean? Does it idle too low and then stall, or does it idle too high?

This video should steer you in the right direction.

The idle screw probably needs to be turned in some if it's too low.
