Where is the best place to buy sections?

The only place to buy pipe is from central boiler. It does not match any other pipe. And for anyone with an older unit, check the inside of the pipe. Some of them came with a crimped inner pipe that opened up, filling the insulation with creosote. New ones are welded.

Yes, it's specific to CB. I didn't have any on mine, so I used what I had and improvised, but it would be easier to use the right stuff. Probably not much price difference anyway.

I don't have my stove anymore but I bought all my sections at Menards they are the right connection the only difference is CB is 4 ft section and Menards is 3 foot depending how much taller u go I would sink a 3 to four self tapping screws at each joint for extra help from accidental twist when final install is done hope I'm not to late with your pipe purchase.

What was the brand sold at Menards? I have 8" pipe from two different brands, and they are interchangeable with each other, but not the CB stuff. CB has a special outlet T in the back, I got around that by using an 18" piece before the T, then going up with straight sections from there.

I had the e-1450 and my pipe was 6" maybe the 8 is different not sure    But I'm drawing a blank on the brand sorry next time I'm at Menards which is a lot lately I will look unless they changed brands mine twisted right on central's pipe I had two 8 footers from central on stove first then I connected the Menards pipe went up from there.
