10 Pine Types Listed in the Tool Box weight Calc and no SYP ??

A friend is clearing a lot 1/2 mile from me and I can have all the SYP I can handle!!
There is a log that I cut 16.5' that is 26" large end and I was trying to figure out the weight?
I got 14 logs so far 12" to 20" X 16.5". Will try to take pics.

SYP is a grouping of five southern pines. I don't know them all, but shortleaf, longleaf, slash and a couple of others make up SYP. I bet the weights are pretty similar for them. I'll go look.

Well, not all that close. I guess you will need to know which pine you have for the most accurate weight estimate.

Longleaf will weigh the most.  Next will be slash, then loblolly, and finally shortleaf.

SYP, Southern Yellow Pine, is a grouping of several of the Southern Pines such as Loblolly, Slash, Longleaf, Virginia, & Shortleaf.  There is also a Spruce Pine (Turkey) that does not meet SPIB requirements for construction/framing lumber.

Your logs is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3.3K lbs, but as Dave & WDH mentioned above, the exact species would determine the actual estimated weight.
