As I posted earlier, I've swung in the direction of getting a chainsaw mill with the news of my son's imminent arrival.  With all hardwoods, I'd like to riftsaw as much as possible, quartersaw as a back-up option.

How would someone go about rift sawing logs with a chainsaw mill? As I stated earlier, I've been looking into the Logosol Big Mill Pro, and it looks like you can pivot the sawing angle from the attachments on the end of the log. Is this possible? I've been operating on the assumption that I would find a way but now I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this?

I know CSM is mostly known for flitch cuts but would it be possible to riftsaw logs?

You portable swingblade millers, let me know your thoughts on riftsawing with your mills as that is what I'm pining for but it's not in the cards right now.

Thanks for any replies
