I know it is late in the game but what is required for my son and I to enter the states.

I was under the impression that I need my birth certificate and my drivers licence (photo ID)

My son turns 16 on Aug 03 and has no drivers licence or student card.We do have his birth certificate.

I wondered if I could have his picture notorized or signed by our family doctor?

Can anyone point us in the right direction? I'm sure that my documents are in order, but am a little worried about Tom :-/

Paul when I went with the girl scouts to Niagara Falls a couple years ago, I had to have my driver's license, My daughter had to have her birth certificate, picture ID and immunization record.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out I need a passport or birth certificate to enter the UP, but I thought the LoP was kinda like the other states. ;)

Paul I have been back and forth quite a few times in recent years. It's pretty much like Tammy said, documentation of da younger folks. Especially the birth certificate to prove it is your son or daughter.

Yes Mark, anybody comin' threw da UP from a treeless state does need a passport. Hope ya understand, we have to look out for our forests.   ;D
