2,200 Ft of mediocre Black Oak

Loaded and headed to the mill . Averaged 48 cents a ft. Doyle delivered. My old 08 super tuned/programed 6.4 handled it with ease 8) . Stops it as well with good trailer brakes. I normally use better bunks but this load had to be unloaded with cant hooks at the Amish mill  :(

That must have grossed 40K or better.  Not something I would want to do during the daylight around here.

I don't haul that size load normally but rain coming and it was now or who knows when. Only went up the road a short distance as well. I much prefer having the mills haul but get tired of waiting often times.

Nice load of logs! Is mediocre the grade of black oak or certain type of black oak?

i would shut that tuner off while towing. the hp was cut back on the f450  550 for a reason vs the f250  350. without an exhaust temp gauge. that is quite a load but an f550 is quite a truck

That's a little better oak than what ya leading on there mang! Bet she pulled heavy!

It was good size oak but lots of fire stains in the butts. I watch the pyrometer close and run her on the mild setting when loaded. Never stand on it for long cause don't want to melt her down.Delete exhaust helps a lot .

The maximum GCVW's have creeping up lately. I know a new Dodge 3500 has a max of 37,500, don't know what a 450 or 550 is, but it must be at least that high.
