Hi all... I recently bought a slasher and I will try and get some pics of the old girl on here soon. That being said it became very apparent quick that my old C5 isn't gonna cut it by herself anymore if I want to keep the slasher busy. I guess I expected this anyways just figured it would take me longer to get good enough to need a grapple.... not so much! Been looking at 540 and 548 jd grapples but could possibly go for a 648 cause there are a lot more on the market but wanna stay small skidder wise to be able to squeeze thru the tight spots the big companies can't... I like the old C5 for that especially. Not sure if I'm gonna sell the C5 and get a grapple/cable combo or keep the one i have and get a grapple/cable combo which would be ideal but we all know that money game we play....
Lets see what opinions I generate with this? Stay safe!

Get a grapple and keep the c5.
One can never have have two many skidders!

Know what you mean about the ability to get into the tight spots tho,  we run a c4d and a cat 528 swinger, bout as different as you could get but both are very good at the right task.

Just my 10c anyway.
Cheers
Justin
