Hey Jason, hope you've cut and sold asmany cords as you wanted to.  As far as mills go, I don't know what side of nashville you're at.  Im only familiar with the S. Wilson, E. Rutherford, and Cannon county area, and there are several mills operating there. (I won't be sawing until late March)
You can make a decision based on phone calls, but considering the amount of effort it takes to get  timber to market, it would be better to pay a few mills in your area a personal call. Somebody can promise you the moon  over the phone, and you get there to find out there are squirrels nesting in the mill!  Do your homework first. good luck

Im in Murfreesboro, seems like there is a never ending line of folks needing quality firewood!!! A good majority are coming to get them selves. or we are doing bulk deliveries I can carry 2 and 1/2 cords on my big trailer loose tossed in. Run and dump it and reload as fast as I can and go dump a another. I have heard good things about Trotts Mill in Bedford Co. I have a buddy from my days working at the Sheriff's dept. that has 2 tracts of land at the base of Short Mt that is all mature white oak that I am going to take a look at this coming week.
Thank you to everyone for your thoughts on cold weather gear, it has been very helpful !!!!

Guess I'm warmblooded too, plain cotton work pants with Echo chainsaw pants overtop. Long-sleeved tshirt and a cheap flannel jacket. Couple pairs of socks in my chainsaw boots. Below about 0 I throw an old hydro parka on, mostly just for the tractor ride. Costco gloves, rotate 3-4 pairs through the day

Echo chainsaws and a whole bunch of tractors

Another vote for Kinco insulated gloves.
Longjohns of whatever type one prefers.

Outer layer..... Filson tin cloth.  Particularly the pants. Double tin...Nothing wears like them.

Packer, double tin jacket.Only wear the jacket when it is really, really cold or when not moving.

They also offer a logger jacket, double tin.  No experience with this one.

Schnees pacs with the wool insert liners & bob soles.  Vibram or lug type soles are too slippery in the cold.  No grip.
