A little confused here.  ???
OP asked what is going on (shaking) then comes back and OP states tons of work.
What am I missing?
Maybe you see activity and trying to determine what it is?

Google, my friend. I did some checking while waiting to see if there were any members on here that could give me any suggestions. I have found out that there is a shortage of fallers in the said area...just trying to make some contacts.

A good timber cutter with experience can pretty well take their pick of companies in this area.

X2 on that jnicol. Where about's are you located?

CCC4

Yeh, thats what I am gathering...lots of work in the area. Only thing is...when I tell them I have 9 years as head sawyer at a mill...everyone of the 4 I have talked to asked me if I would be interested in sawing. Seems like every sawmill in the area has its own logging crews. I have had several call backs after watching my youtube channel videos...in one way, that can be a pretty good resume "if" they like what they see.

Any of them make mention of a "shirt and shoes required" policy?? :D

Ha! No...not yet! Lol! However...if they want the best work out of me in the Summer...they gonna have to let me go shirtless! Lol!

Hey , I knew a guy who would cut in tennis shoes and cut off shorts and no shirt all summer no matter how thick the briars were .

CCC4 pm me if you want some contacts I know mills in both indiana and illinois in that area, as well as strictly logging outfits depending on what your wanting to do as in just cutting or cut and skid

Im located about 20 mi south of terre haute so il logger. ccc4 If you have sawing experience at a mill I could probably get you a job tomorrow lol.

jnicol6600

And the mills do buy up most of the timber around here. They can pay more than us measley loggers can. If you want to work around here it almost has to be for the mills.

There are a couple big players on the illinois side though. Jnicol are you from around fairbanks or do you know any loggers in that area? I met a guy years ago from there that logged, real nice guy think his name was brian. I'm sure we know some of the same people I'm just west of olney, ill.
