Another pi project

Went off on another one of my adventures.
The wife wants some ERC base boards and I hadn't cut the size I would want so I answered an add for some trees. The deal was the homeowner fell them and I limb them.
I showed up expecting to pick up logs and he thought I was just inspecting them.
Well, we ended up deciding to go ahead and drop one. He indeed held up his end of the deal and did most of the work dropping the tree. I just didn't expect him to do it in penny loafers, with no socks and shorts. I've seen folks take chances but this really took the cake. talk about going out on a limb.

He headed up there carrying his saw in one hand and climbing with the other. He finally took my suggestion to put a strap on that saw so he could use both hands.
I was just glad the limbs came down before he did.

Did I mention this guy was about 70?
Took about 3 hours but we got the limbs stacked for burning about a hundred yards away and the logs on my trailer. Really only one log on the tree. The rest are more like big branches but I can get something out of them.

If he's in that tree when the pics were taken, he is well hidden.

70 isn't too old to climb in a tree.. but if I do, it is to tie off a rope or wrap a chain around to hold a cable for pulling.

Rather be up there than sittin in a rockin chair.
