WM Throttle Solenoid

I have an auto clutch on my mill with the Yanmar diesel.   I noticed this weekend that when I would disengage the blade, the brake would stop the blade completely and the auto clutch would cycle completely down and the engine would still be at full throttle for about 1.5 or 2 seconds before I would hear the solenoid click and the engine throttle down.  My first thought was the solenoid was sticking.   About 30 minutes later,  I engaged the blade and got no response from the solenoid.  The blade was engaged but the engine was still at idle.  I engaged and disengaged the blade several times with the same results, so I tapped on the solenoid and that got it back to working.  My mill only has 27 hours,  could I have a bad solenoid,  or is the auto clutch sensor the culprit?

Sorry, I don't have an answer, but am interested in responses as well...same thing happened to me over the weekend... I engaged my blade, the blade engaged, but the diesel remained at idle...did this 3 or 4 cycles, the was fine the last log I cut...my mill had 10 hours on it when it happened, has 11 now...

Solenoid is sticking. You need to align the piston so it does not bind in the bore. There is an adjustment procedure in the manual, you should review this before adjusting. There is a pull in winding and a hold in winding that needs to be set when you do the adjustment.
I would try looesing the bolts just enough so you can move the solenoid just a little. Then push in by hand without the engine running. It should go in and out with out sticking.
