Jeff

Got to meet Cedar Eater tonight. We both attended a MSU extension seminar on managing and marketing your Northern hardwoods.

Must be posting on a forum opens you up a little. I think Cedar Eater and I might have asked a lot a questions :o

Pretty cool, the extension forester knew about the forum and Timber Buyers Network and gave me a chance to tell the group about it. Yes, I took business cards and most came and got one after class.  Carl and I determined after our first meeting, that we are probably, undeniably, the 2 best looking guys on this forum ;D

All kidding aside, great to meet you tonight Carl. (Carl won't get this for a while, he has a LOOOOONG wintery first day of spring drive back to his neck-o-the woods tonight.)
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

I learned some good stuff at the seminar, but it was worth driving 110 miles just to meet the man behind the forum. The trip home got kinda hairy on M72 west of Mio. I crawled through a serious whiteout and had a good test of the anti-lock breaks at a stop sign. :o

I think I'm ready now to call in a consultant for a timber sale. According to the CD forrester, my hardwoods need balancing and I think I know enough to be a reasonable P.I.T.A. for a good pro.
