Im running numbers, reality is a 6k range.  What bandmill should i buy.  Most of what i get aee 20 in or less, but once in a while i get a biggn around 30-32.

Many of the sponsors on the left offer inexpensive manual mills.  My personal mill is a EZboardwalk model 40, a little more than 6k, but they offer a smaller mill that is less expensive.
Retired to the ranch, saw, and sell solar pumps.

If possible narrow your choices some based on near by dealers or based on what you read and learn from sponsors.  Then if possible find others near you with similar mills so you may visit see them maybe run them.  Your dealers/sponsors may be able to help with where there are some close by mill or those that read this thread may help with that.   After visits and research you will probably have your answer.

I have had another local sawer that has a woodmizer run some stuff when i needed to get some stuff done while i was still busy logging.  I have a big pine job comming, most of that one is 6-8 in dia, some 10-12. ( first and second logs)  5 rows, must be 1/ 4 mile long each. Hate to let them go to the burner, and no way id ever get it all done with my slabber.   I still have 50 + cedar logs  layin in my yard.  2 chords of pine too.   Never enough time.   I built the slabber, right now i don't have time to build another mill, nor is their room to setup my 48 ft circle mill

I have the EZ Boardwalk Jr and really like it. This thing is very well thought out and is just bulletproof. It goes for $4200 and it's supposed to saw a 30" log, although I haven't tried, YET. ;D I'm quite confident that I could find any part that I may ever need for it at the local parts house, so it doesn't matter where they are made.
Something to think on when looking at the size mill you want is the sweep in your logs. Come to find out, trees aint straight. You say that most of your logs are 20" or less, now add any sweep and your logs clamps and you're over 2' width that you MUST have. Quite frankly, if you buy a mill with tracks at the very least 6-8" wider than your average logs I feel you will spend half the time per log because you won't be making adjustments and carving on it with your chainsaw.
