 A guy down the road here has one, guess they didn't make alot of that model so some parts maybe hard to come by.

Never heard anything bad about them. Cat only made them for a few years.

Guy that contracted to me bought one new! Payed for it in 3 years with no problems! He ran it a few more years troublefree and sold it to take a break from logging.

I talked to a tech about 508s many years ago. He said the only problems he knew of were trans related, and then only when the operator consistently overloaded the machine.

I had one. I really liked it but sold it . I bought a 225 timberjack  parts are much cheaper for the jack. I never had to buy many parts for the cat
