Greetings, Is there just one coil that fits all Rancher 455? Or are there different coils for different years?

Thanks Richard

It is my understanding they are all the same, it is also suppose to fit the 346 and others. I have both so keep a spare. I belive it is a limited coil, and there is an unlimited one available if you are modifying it, but have so far always kept mine stock and haven't really looked into the options there.

Thanks starmac, Got the 455 running, the problem is solved.

Some excuse for a mechanic put oil in the petrol reservoir, if you promise never mention it to anyone I'll admit it was I.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I see the switch on the gas and bar oil all the time.at work.
I do my best not to embarrass folks...unless they argue that it actually goes there.

:D :D Chris is right, you are not the first. I used to see that regularly on top handle Echo. The worst one was anti freeze in the fuel tank on an old Hough loader, the caps were side by side. That caused some consternation.

Wifey brought home a new plug, when it wouldn't start with I thought: I wonder if~ and open the petrol and looked in.

you can imagine the smoke when I started it, even after rinsing and clearing the bubble. Sure was good to hear it kick.

My 455 and one 346 stays in the bed of the pickup most of the time, we had a couple of weeks of snow and rain, so I didn't go out to thr mill.
My kids needed to use a saw, so I grabbed the 455 abd fired it up. It cranked just like it always does, run for a few seconds and dies, I cranked 8 or 10 times then let them take the 346. I changed the filter the next dsy and same thing, it turned out to be carb adjustment was way out, from riding in the pickup???
I think it just didn't want to be loaned out. lol
