Has anyone used the Grizzly wet grinder to sharpen there planer blade?  I have some 20" planer blades which are the longest and other shorter planer and jointer blades I need to sharpen.  Wondering what kind of product the Grizzly is and what peoples feedback is on it?  There specs say it will sharpen up to 24".  Any info is appreciated

I have the much less expensive grizzly dry sharpener and If I am careful not to burn the edge my blades come out fine.  I must admit I covet a wet sharpener.

I have both of the Grizzly grinders. They work very good for the price. I sharpen 20" planer knives. The wet grinder will do 24" without a problem. I made jigs to hold my chipper knives and anvils for the wet grinder. They have both paid for themselves. I had a local sharpening shop do my planer knives and it cost me almost 1/2 what the dry grinder cost. The wet grinder also does drill bits. It does a good job, especially on larger drills.

That was my thought I have two surface planers with two set of blades each and a jointer with two set of blades the cost to have them all sharpened would cost about half of the cost of the sharpener.  Thansk for the input.

Speaking of Grizzly, did any of you see their free online shop layout program?  Quick and easy to use. I looked through their menus though and couldn't find any sawmills.  ;D
