here's some pics of  a barn built with logs that had bug holes

I have some pine which had buprestide beetles in the wood when sawn and they kept eaten for a few days after I got it piled and stacked in the barn, but they soon left after they emerged as adults. Not much damage, nothing that can't be concealed. They bore in round and exit with an oval hole. ;)

Kelvin, keep an eye on the pine with bug holes in it. If you see wood dust coming out of holes then it still has active bugs. I can't remember what the egg hatching cycle is. 6 weeks seems to stick in my mind. You could probably do a search on the internet and find out.

One way to assure the eggs are killed is to have it kiln dried. The heat will kill the eggs.

Thanks for the help guys.  I'll look into this.  I think the bugs aren't active, as i see no evidence after a month or so of sawdust.  Take it easy!

A frog has long back legs.
A toad has short back legs.

A frog takes long jumps.
A toad takes short jumps.

A frog has smooth skin
A toad has rough skin

A frog's skin is slimy
A toad's sking is dry

A frog lives in the water
A toad lives on dry land except when laying eggs.

Froglegs taste like snake.
Can't eat toad legs.

Snake taste like chicken. ;D

Chicken taste like froglegs. :D

OK....I'm done now 8)

If I Were a Frog

I wish I were a bright green frog,
I'd sleep each day on a sunny log.
And for a snack I'd eat a fly
Whenever one came buzzing by.

I'd leap, then swim in a pretty lake,
And do frog things, for goodness sake.
It would be great but I suppose
That I would miss Spaghettios!
