New gate for the wall ordered by the fabulous Darlene. :-\ :snowball: :snowball: :snowball:

She found a window security grate at the local used building materials store and said make me a gate. ::) :-\ :-X >:( :snowball: :snowball: :snowball:

No problem. Just have to cut off the wall offsets, weld those holes shut. Weld various other bolt holes, etc. shut, fabricate hinges and hangers from scratch and weld it all up. :( :( :(

Oh, then there is this tile holder dealie that must be added. Oh, by the way there is no back for it and the back of the tiles are ugly. Oh, by the way, the new back to hide the tile backs doesn't fit because the construction of the tile holder is not so pretty goood. Lots of grinding to fit around sloppy welds. :( :snowball: :snowball: :snowball: Oh, also by the way then the Mexican tiles are too warped and variable to fit so the backs all had to be ground to fit. >:(

I made a handle for it so we don't burn our hands opening the gate on hot summer days and so the old man doesn't have to bend over to reach it. Made it from a stray piece of 9/4 mesquite. ;D

Anyway, here it be.

The fabulous Darlene loves it and is happy. :)

That makes me happy. :)

Just Me

I hope the fabulous Laura never sees your threads. I do pretty good by her but you are kicking my butt.

Very nice. Sometimes I wish I lived in the Southwest so I could be more creative and not have to worry about ice and snow.
