I have posted similar pictures before.  Pulling wrenches six days a week I have little time and less motivation for my own projects.  I need the help of the FF members!  Hopefully by starting a project thread it will help motivate me to regularly make progress.  My bull-dozier has been down for at least three years.  Had a rod bearing failure.   Got the bottom end done,  valve grind close but not finished.   It is a Case 850E with a 5.9 Case/Cummins 5.9.

Your further ahead than some of my projects @ the house.  :D  friend of mine swears by the Case dozers, they do seem easier to work on. Our 850B is like a hornets nest to work on when you start pulling covers.

I've been into a 5.9 Cummins to many times to count. Probably one of the best engines ever built imo.

Come on Kiko!  Let's get this show on the road!   8)

I'm with Roxie on this!  Have a neighbor with a tractor in pieces in his garage, has been sitting like that for 4 years.  Has the ability and the parts.  Just needs to get started!

I've been known to have a couple bikes apart for long periods of time myself.

Sigh.  My '58 Chevy Napco and my '70 Triumph Bonneville are both waiting for me.

i pushed them to a limit usually when they showed me there insides through a window size hole in the side of the block. A man has never lived till he brought the rpms up on a 5.9 to the 6500 mark and then slowly started slipping the clutch.  ;D

I have had pleasant dreams lately about pushing in the pool when I get the dozier running again.  Even more motivation.

Roxie

I showed your bulldozer picture to Cowboy Bob and he said, "That thing is SWEET!"  I have no doubt that if you lived close, he'd be there helping you put it back together, just to watch it work.

He's more than a little partial to Case.

Great old case tractors!  Today after rebuilding and finally installing an engine in someone else's dozier ,  I thought about working on mine.  That could be consider progress I guess.   But the good news is, I have a track hoe  coming for the weekend ,  the pool will soon be a garden spot.
