Hey folks,
Can anyone list their procedure for leveling the adj. guide roller arm on a TK 2000?

I've squared the head, the deck and lifted the rollers off the blade. My issue is that when I move the guide roller toward the log stops, the guide roller will deflect the blade more than 1/8". When I retract the adj. guide roller fully, to make wide cuts, the adj. guide roller barely makes contact with the blade.

I'm very certain that the blade tracking is square, the power head is evenly suspended and the deck is level; I'm just having a hard time with my torpedo level getting that arm moving on a completely horizontal axis.

Im not familiar wih your mill but if you move your blade guide arm in and out over one of your properly aligned bunks and adjust till its parellel with it and also the other axis(parellel to properly seated and tensioned blade), you should have it. FRom what Ive read here,  TK would be glad to give tech advice if you callem up.....  ;D

As has been stated before call TK ask for Jason he is good.
Pages 56 and 57 of your manual (if page numbers have not changed) have a description/instructions.

You state what you have done so far but you did not state that you did the "level the blade procedure" (page 56)
You have to do that before you can go on to the guide arm procedure.

If not done already you should put some hard plastic about 7/16 " thick between the center of the u shaped bracket above the roller guide arm and the main beam that the arm slides on. The round arm isn't real strong and can flex up when extended, the plastic shim will ride on the main beam keeping the arm steady as it goes in and out.  TK was going to send out a kit for this problem, don't know if they did.  Also run 1/4" down pressure as you will saw straighter the 1/8" down pressure. Great mill once you get a couple of bugs worked out.   Steve

I have a TK2200, I have a similar issue with my mill. After adjusting the blade ( by the lift head adjusters) so it was 1 inch off all along the bunk, no rollers touching. I adjusted the roller guide deflection, The roller flange would be i/8" ( correct) off the blade when fully retracted, the nylon bolt at the top is just touching the guide frame. As I move it inward to the fixed roller, the nylon bolt will have a 1/8 gap, I can move the roller back an additional 1/8 to 3/16 with my hand. The roller support arm is wobbly at this point. I talked to TK about this, they were helpful as usual, but no resolution. It does not seem to affect anything, so I just leave it alone. Not sure if this will come back to bite me in time.

Sounds like the round  rod is not parallel with the blade, looks like there are adjustments for that on the rollers that the  rod rides on .  Also keep the guide roller flange 1/4" behind the blade, you will get better blade life with the power you have . You might  get by  OK with 1/8" back on a low powered mill sawing real slow with a 10° hook as that doesn't push the blade back much. Steve

Thanks for this tip. I haven't put any plastic there to take up slop and make a more consistent lateral travel. Can you recommend any glue or method of attaching the plastic?

Also, thanks for recommending the 1/4 deflection. I like the concept of having a rigid, square band.

My issue after thinking and reading y'all's posts: the round guide arm is not moving parallel to the blade. The instruction manual, as I interpret, does not illustrate the current setup for the adj. guide roller adjustments; so reading that has only got me so far. It's just gonna take some tinkering and whatnot. I feel that the 1/4" deflections will help keep it tighter and may better indicate that adjustments of the round arm as it attached the the guide roller "unit"

I do, however, need to call Jason or Mike. I just do all my sawing on the weekends and it's hard to get in touch with any tech support.

I'm really grateful for all the are weighing in on this topic. I'm really green to all this. So please bear with my posts and questions

I would attach the plastic to the u shaped bracket, get a couple of tapered head 1/4" bolts and counter sink them. Use a good sized chunk so it never wears.  Steve

Thanks LadyLake

When I get the TK2200 back home, I will reset everything as you described. I will check the adjusters on the movable roller arm.
