You need at least a $45 Actron compression tester. The $15 Harbor Freight ones tend to read real low...like half. Do washers jump to the magnet from 1-2"? Usually means pretty good.
A 2 piece coil kit is pricey, probably $90+.
Coil fins-as close as you can get them without magnets hitting. Specs are .012".  I dunno enough about 2 piece ignitions to know which module is likely to fail.

Getting good spark at high rpm but NO spark at low rpm.

Try minimum clearance on the air gap.
Try and get a real cheap spark plug which would not have spark suppression.
Adjust the plug gap to the .2mm and try for a spark by pulling the starter rope.

I adjusted the spark gap from 0.020 to 0.032 thousands of an inch.  0.2mm would be a very small gap!

I called Husky customer support.

If I remember correctly , they should be close 11 thousandthes , you may need points and condensor . I don't remember if they were electronic or points and condensor . I know when I missplaced my card that was for gapping , they told me too use 2 pieces of microfiche , untill my new one came . I found mine shortly after , but was glad to have an extra .
