Is there anywhere in SW Arkansas that an individual can sell pulpwood logs? I have some on my property that need to be removed in order for us to build a new shop. I can't find anyone willing to come in and cut them since it's only about 4 1/2 acres. I have plenty of equipment to load and haul them but I need a place to sell them. I hate to push them up and burn them or haul them to the dump. Looking for advise. Thanks in advance.

Also forgot to mention they are pine. Average 10" at waist height and the stand is quite thick. Looks like they were planted on 8' squares.

Opello, Arkansas is where pine pulp goes

Call Sentinnel Industries and tell them what you have, you will make A LOT more money selling them as poles than pulp.

Will a 10" base tree make a pole? My ignorance led me to believe all the trees are good for is pulp? I would love to maximize the tree as I hate to cut them anyways.

Yes, pine pole are used for treated fence posts. Specs are usually up to 8" or 9" on 8'4 , they don't like swell butted pine though so as long as they dont vary a whole lot from butt to top...you should be good. You can sell smaller poles at 7'4, think they buy down to 3" top. Be sure to give them a shout. Pine poles "generally" run from 28 to 32 bucks a ton. Not too much money...however probably near double over pulp.

That's great. Thanks for the help I really appreciate it.

Not sure where a woodyard is around there.  Call No-Way Pulpwood there local and maybe they can help.

No-way is owned by a guy I know but with such a small amount he said it would cost him to move it. That's why I was looking for small business close enough to move the wood myself. It's pretty hard to find apparently. CCC4 led me to a great company but Calico Rock is a long way from me. Way to far to justify feeding a f700 and 429.
