My next job 41 cotton wood logs. The lumber will be used in the customers barn renovation.Some of the logs are good size ones 32 to 34 on the but .
I'm waiting for a new throttle cable for the mill. when it comes i will get started milling :) :)

This neck of the woods they call it balm of gilead. Or affectionately known as (balmbagillion). I've used it some for sheathing, nailed it down green. Seems kinda miserable, what are they using it for?

Inside of stalls in a barn
They are all over it because it was free
I don't give my opinion anymore because they listen

I have never sawn Cottonwood but I don't see any reason why it should not be OK for that use.  Saw it and nail it up green.

Looks like some good sawing to come for you.
I never did like cottonwood as all of it that I have sawn smells bad.

life is too short to be too serious. (some idiot)
2013 LT40SHE25 and Riehl edger,  WM 94 LT40 hd E15. Cut my sawing ''teeth'' on an EZ Boardwalk
sawing oak.hickory,ERC,walnut and almost anything else that shows up.
Don't get phylosophical with me. you will loose me for sure.

My only concern would be If he has horses that cotton wood is going to be cotton candy for them, my guys love our cotton wood trees. smiley_horserider
But then they will get you to cut more wood for repairs. win win/  :D
