I have a CB 5036 OWB.  Last year the bushing bolt that holes the handle to the door sheared off and had to be extracted and replaced.  That went great but the replacement provided by my dealer had a different look to it.  Same design but possibly a different schedule bolt.  Now i think the threads in the casting have been stripped out.  The bolt never tightens and has a wobble in it.  I am the second owner, the people we bought our hose from had it installed.  I want to get ahead of the game and get this fixed before it becomes a real issue. Does anyone have experience with an issue like this.  I have come up with 3 options.

1. CB will warranty the door and replace (i have made a call to my dealer but haven't heard back and have no experience with thier warranty)
2. put a helicoil in the door and a new, different sized bolt
3. Replace the whole door casting.

I believe the warranty only covers the purchaser. You might want to have them do it for you if that's possible. Anyway, Most likely CB will tell you its your fault or that its a wearable item or something along those lines. I don't even call them, I have fixed numerous wear related issues out of pocket since the time involved in having them come out and look at it isn't worth it, the smaller things are easier just to buy and do yourself. IMO
