My 461R with a 28 inch bar "heavy standard bar" is hard to carry one handed without dragging the tip on the ground from it being so nose heavy. It also occasionally feels clumsy while cutting and I think its adds to the heavy weigh feel after cutting a while with it. Before I spend the $$ on a light bar I thought I'd ask if this will cure this issue with the lightened bar in 28 inch?? Is a lite bar a big difference, I hope so for the cost..Regards Walt
ps, I have never had a lightened bar on a saw, at my age maybe I'm ready 8)

do you need a 28" bar? I would use a 20" on a 461. or 25" at most.

On my MS461, I feel that either a standard or light bar is fine at 25".  When I had a 32" standard bar, it felt way nose heavy.  Switching to a 32" light bar really helped.  I don't know about 28" bars.  Never had one.

Thank you for the reply's..I have a 20 inch and the 28. Already having chains for a 28 I'm hoping a light bar is the answer and worth the cost....
