Why are Canadian geese flying north for this last week?  I'm in Washington state and for the last week, the geese have been flying North.  <click> I just started my stop watch  :D

Maybe they are headed to Canada for some free health care?

I just read the Blue Herron thread.  Srucebunny beat me to the "Geese flying north" part.

Gagels of geese fly north over my property daily.Lake Erie being south of me and corn fields to the north. Affectionally dubbed the "lowbanks  airforce" when they do a tree top flyby at twilight.Just a great way to end the day   8) 8) 8)

Yes those geese keep coming back up here for the corn also. There's still about 150 acres not even cut. They were here untill Christmas last year. No snow to speak of yet , just a crusty sciff. Termite has way more that we do, and down south of Monticello, Maine and Deerville, NB there is even less and no crust. Rain on its way again, that's what the blue jays told me. ;)

Hey Gilman, those geese were headed to Kalama for a free feed.  The grain elevators have a lot of free food about this time of year. :D :D :D
