What is the distance between the frame rails on the heavier duty hydraulic bandsaw mills? Anybody care to chime in on their model and the width from inside to inside. Thanks

Zero for the Turbo Saw, other big dimension mills or the Big Wood Mizers, unless you go to the LX series.

What are you thinking?

A TK2000 is 37" between the rails and can handle a log 46" high if odd shaped, also the blade on the new ones goes 36" above the deck.  My older B20 TK is no where near that capacity .  Steve

I am getting ready to order steel for my bandmill build, was thinking 42" between frame rails and was wanting to get an idea of what the bigger mills dimensions were. ( Trailer frame dimensions) Im using 3x6 rectangular for the trailer structure.

I also would like to hear how far apart the rails are on the bigger mills.

I'm using an 8' x 40' trailer frame (with the "wings" cut off, it's about 5' x 40')  so I could make the rails pretty far apart, if I wanted to...

I was wondering the same thing.

I built mine at 48" apart that way I had room for backstops and dogs and rollers. Not much of my mill head sticks out past it. It's nice having it protected with it being portable. Mine is 20' long and the only thing I would change is make it longer!!!

JR how bad is it stretching over to set the logs?

JRWoodchuck

You know I haven't thought about that but if it were closer it wouldn't be a bad thing. I have a 60" log right so on the 18" and smaller stuff it's fine. The big diameter stuff I climb up on the rail.
