Will QS make better structural lumber

I have a large red oak to saw.  I can saw almost the entire log into QS with my swinger.  Is there any advantage for 2 x 10s?

basically there is tremendous variability between species. In some species horizontal shear is better in flatsawn.

45 degree ring orientation can cause a 40-60% lower modulus of elasticity in some species... deflection is the limiting factor most often. In those particular species there was little difference if the sample was flat or quarter only if rift, interesting. And not all species and they declined to elaborate much more.
