We are building an addition on our saw shed to dso our stakes in we have the walls up, but still have a dirt floor, (should have got it in by now, but the snow slowed us up), the floor is going to be full sawn 2"xRWx12' Pine. (Cause we have some huge pine logs I need to do something with) In the shop is a wood furnace. Is it feasable to build a frame around the stack of lumber and run the blower from the furnace staright into it Keep in mind we will plane and rip these to width once dry. checks and warpage is not a problem. Any reason not to do this? Any thoughts how long it'll take? I thought I'd level up some 4x4's, build the frame from 2x4's and sheat it with plastic. leaving a vent. Does white pine warp much while drying?

I don't know how it relates to White Pine, but one of the big mills around here put's SYP in a 240 degree kiln for 20 hours, according to my cousin who runs the kiln.  I'm sure your idea would work for yellow pine, just not sure about white.

I have pretty much decided to go ahead and set the floor in place and screw it down on the ends, then later this winter after it has dried, we'll pull it up and clean up the boards.

You may have a heck of a time cleaning those boards up later if ya get mud and stuff stuck on/in them.
