I am looking at buying a bms250. And a Suffolk setter but I want to get a shed built for it first.
So how big a footprint does the sharpener and setter have?

A little bigger footprint than your bandsaw blade, with another 6-12 inches in front because the front side of the blade is inside the unit. If you cut off the excess from each of the 3 arms which stick out and hold the blade it would be the same.

Actual measurement 6.5' wide, this being the span of the arms on either side,  by 4.5' deep, this being the front of the unit to the end of the center arm sticking out the back.  The actual box is 22 wide by 18 deep.  It weighs over 200 pounds so you aren't going to be toting it around easily.  I bought Craftsman tool carts (the black "professional" ones if I remember correctly) to put this and the setter on.   Originally I was looking at Rubbermaid or HF plastic carts but I'm glad I went with these.  You don't want it taking a dive onto the floor.
