I was watching the downhill training and saw several gondola lifts crossing each other so I went to find out more about that and what the ski area was like.

If you click on the link for each lift, you go to a French website where there is a picture of each pylon, so most of the lift ride.
There are some great forest shots both hardwood ( looks like beech?) and softwood almost like wh. pine.

The downhill venue was purpose built to comply with Olympic requirements of vertical drop but there was some opposition to cutting an old growth forest. So, now it is claimed that they will tear it all down and return the land to how it was.
