Jeff

When you cross code mode and artsy fartsy mode.

We have a new function in our profiles I've invented. Some text that some of you may have even forgotten writing, and some, well, that some of you never did write!

Since 2010 we have required a reason for joining the Forestry Forum. Once we read it, it was gone after we either approved or denied the registration. I had just assumed it was just written to a temp file then discarded. As it turns out, all those reasons from April 11th 2010 to present were in a database column I discovered while working on the forum. SO, I thought I would put it to work. You can now visit a profile and find out what reason was given for joining.

Now the interesting part. There are a lot of us before 2010 that did not have to give a reason. Well that ain't no fun! So, what I did was, was came up with a way that if your data did not have a reason, the Forum randomly generates a reason for you. You can have a different reason every time someone looks. (it is also stated on those, that it is a randomly generated reason)

So! Have fun looking at why people joined the forum and even more fun on how the forum says some of us long-timers came to be. :)

Jeff,I have been having trouble logging in the last few days. Pictures posting is just impossible now. Some of the areas I had access to,I can't seem to look at. I have been reading as a guest the last few days. Than you posted this and I tried my ARRP number. All set now. So glad you did that for me. Just glad that I am younger than you.
