Has anyone here added power feed to an lt28 after the fact?  I'm afraid shoulder issues that have cropped up recently may move me away from turning the crank on the manual feed and get a power feed module to put on my mill.  How much trouble is it to retrofit one onto an existing manual feed mill?  Thanks for any help.

I have not done it, but I do not think it is too complicated. A young man bought a new one here a couple of years ago and added it either right off the bat or at least pretty quick, he talked like it was a painless upgrade.

I have not added it yet to my LT28, but it looks like an easy upgrade. I have already ran my mill without the crank rope, just pushing it manually. This was on bitter cold days when the rope was too frozen to work properly. It also helped to have the hitch end a little lower, so gravity could help return the saw head.

I would think with a good drill bit and a little common sense that would be simple.

Hello,
Everything comes in the kit. Remove this hitch, install the chain bracket. Install the power feed assembly run the wire to the battery. Install the power feed chain and you are all set. Should take you about 1.5 hours. Maybe 2 hours if you read the instructions first.
Hope this helps.
