I haven't seen anything from you on the hoopla in town there! Any fun and excitement?  :D
When the Ryder Cup golf tourny was here in Rochester, NY, every one and their brother tried to rent out either their spare rooms or their entire house for rediculous amounts of money. Did it ever cross your mind? ;D

The Party goers have taken over Jacksonville.  Many residents offered their homes for "a fee" but I wasn't one of them.  That's what hotels are for.  I'm not so money conscience that I would turn my home into a resort.   :D

We aren't going down town to the festivities thought we did make a trip around the bridges to view the decoratios.  Jacksonville really looks good.  The welcome mat is out.  There has been no trouble to date and visitors will find that they are welcomed as such and not just as a wallet and pocket.

Fireworks last night and tonight were really exciting.  It looks like the Fourth of July here.   Lots of money has been spent by my county to make sure that everyone has a good time. ;D

While I don't look forward to the Tax bill, I'm proud ot the job that the city has done.

I just imagine that bidness is picking up in J'ville by now.  It's a pretty big place, but they don't have enough hotel rooms to accomodate the crowds. I hear tell that they've brought in some cruise ships to provide extra beds. Good thing they're on the coast, eh?

My parents are snow birds who have a place on Jekyll Island, GA, about 45 min. north of J'ville. They say there are still a few rooms there, but not many. Dad also mentioned the cruise ships serving as floating hotels nearby and couldn't get over how large they are.

The cruise ships were on the agenda even with enough rooms.  We have a river to showcase and the ships are doing a fantastic job.  You wouldn't believe the parties taking place on them.   They are serving meals to visitors too.

There's been lots of press about the lack of rooms.  It just isn't so.  Over the past several years, hotels have opened downtown and many more in the surrounding communities.  There is no lack of rooms.

Traffic isn't even that bad.  You can drive right through Jacksonville without inconvenience. There might be some slow-ups down town.  But with all the people, I would expect a little bit. ;D

I won't be here to see me either.  :D   I'm doing something bigger than the Super Bowl celebration.  I'm sawing longleaf pine.  ;D     Might watch the game though.

If I were going to that part of the world it would be to hunt up FF members . Ihad rather be helping Tom :D :D My son flys in and out of Jacksonville some not for me .
