The 90* purge nipple can be rotated GENTLY with needle nose pliers. IIRC, you rotate it down to get out of the throttle rod travel path. So, nipple/purge line is below throttle rod.

Great, Doug! It worked. Wow, so much modifications. But better than returning it, I guess. Now, it's all put together, and I dont trust the settings on the carb- the low and high screws. Unless I need to start a new thread, for my Poulan 2150, do I seat both screws in all the way in, then back out each screw 1 full turn to start? 1-1/2 turns?

Well, you can't buy exactly what you had because carb has improved over the years. I usually just start saw and then tweak H-L-T. You can turn in CW and note turns. 1.5 each is reasonable as a start point.
