Kind of reluctant to even ask, but this is more about generalities, than specifics...

I just got back from walmart for some cat food. Stopped at the lawn and garden section just to see what was up. They had attractively priced premix @ $5/qt & $20/g(No savings for bulk purchase). I picked up a quart to keep on hand as an emergency backup, but for the subject of this thread, they also had full synthetic PoulanPro 2cycle oil for $8/20oz. Aside from the good price, the real draw for me is the squeeze and measure bottle. I like them cause it's easy to mix odd sized batches. Better than getting a fixed size, and screwing around with measuring it out. So...

It says it meets FD spec. That's about as good as it gets, right? Anything certified FD is as good as anything else? I typically use Stihl HP ULtra. A bit spendy, but I'm not going through gallons of it. I'd just as soon stick with that if it came with a squeeze and measure bottle, but alas, it doesn't.

 8) Oh goody the great oil debate once again ,I've missed it so much . :D As for me I just buy the little pre measured bottles of oil no more mix gas than I use . TSC usually .I think it's branded as "county line " now .They sell Husqvarna too but before I'd pay that tariff  I'd drive a half mile the other direction and buy Stihl ultra cheaper .Al the tight wad ,last of the "old schoolers "

My local Stihl dealer sells mix for 1g at $2 something/bottle, and mix for 5g at $5 something/bottle. The first oil I bought was a 6pack of little ones cause I wasn't paying attention. Last time I got the big bottle, and saved a little one to measure it out in, but I haven't used it yet. I like having the option for odd measurements cause I have a 1qt fuel bottle I sometimes make mix it. Before I got into woodcutting, that's all I used. 1qt + full saw could give me a day's work if you figure in moving/splitting/stacking. I'm still not using tons, and don't care about price so much, but I like having the option easily make as much as I want, in varying quantities.

For years I have run the Walmart brand blue gallon jug of marine injection oil and mixed it in my can. Figured if it's good enough for $50K boat motors it's fine for my saws. Never have had a problem with it.

I'd like some blue oil as I think it looks better than red or green in my 2-stroke tools that have a white translucent tank.
Maybe royal purple.??

Hd has both echo oils in the squeeze measure bottle. I think like 8 and 12 dollars for 6 or so gallons.
