Tom the Sawyer

A guy about 65 miles west of me has one.  I visited with him but didn't get to see it run.  Ground-based, his cuts to 70" wide, they apparently make one that goes to 96" wide.  Guide rollers adjustable from both sides.  No clamps or hydraulics.  Wedge the log on the ground between the rails and start cutting.  Saw head frame is about 10' tall but if you are cutting a 6' diameter log, it would have to get up pretty high.
07 TK B-20, Custom log arch, 20' trailer w/log loading arch, F350 flatbed dually dump.  Piggy-back forklift.  LS tractor w/FEL, Bobcat S250 w/grapple, Stihl 025C 16", Husky 372XP 24/30" bars, Grizzly 20" planer, Nyle L200M DH kiln.
If you call and my wife says, "He's sawin logs", I ain't snoring.

Bruno of NH

They make one with bunks and clamps also.
We have a member that has one.
On a FB group I'm on some folks have them and like them.
They look well made.

Thanks for the input. There is a dealer about 6 hours north of me and he has a 70 inch in stock. Talked to him on the phone last night. Rob
