So I bought a bunch of these saws , Going to port a bunch of them as I got friends crying for some ported saws , I like these saws , they start real easy and easy on the shoulders , they make ok power stock but do pick up a lot once played with

Do you use a degree wheel and measure port opening and closing in degrees?  Do you modify both the intake and exhaust posts?  Do you change ignition timing at all after modifying the port timing.  I have never changed the ports on a chainsaw motor before, so have lots of questions.

Parts for older saws that are NLA from the manufacturer can sometimes be found in stock at dealers that were in business back when such saws were current models. I'd look for the oldest stihl dealers you can find. Plenty of cool stuff to be found at a dealer that's been around for 40 some years.

yes , all ports are changed and I mean all ports , you cannot change 1 port and not the others , I change the intake port alot and same with transfers and ext. port , squish is changed and depends on what the person is using the saw for on if I advance the flywheel , If a guy is mainly using the saw for milling lumber the flywheel will stay in stock place.
