Hey everyone! Was wondering if you all have any experience with swapping a Rockford pto to a different motor? If so what was involved?

You have to know the sae sizes for both the engine and flywheel. Many truck engines are sae but their flywheels are not.  I just put an old rockford off a 3-53 on a late model Deutz. The deutz had the flywheel but needed an adapter housing. [a no. 4] This was a tricky thing to get because Deutz only gives you a picture and a code number but no sae spec.  Twin disc or rockford catologs will have a chart listing all the sizes. Funk is another brand. one must study all this.

PJpower sells their stuff and was incredibly dilligent in helping me find info on old old funk stuff out of their historical files.

Most road trucks use SAE2 bells. military truck stuff is usually smaller, SAE3.  "Sae bellhousing chart" will google up everything u need to consider.

Funk made a pto that fit ford [automotive] bell housings. That is not sae. They also made the stuff to put a flathead V8 in an 8n ford tractor.
