I found a good clean 2009 gm 4x4 one ton with new flat bed dump
Duramax 75,500
I now a lot about these trucks in gas plowed with same year gas for 9 yrs
Need thoughts on the Duramax

I don't know which generation of engine that was, LML? If so it's basically the same engine as my '06 LBZ but has some additional emmission equipment on it. Very solid engine, injectors, IP in those. My '06 has over 400K on it now and does not burn a drop of oil. Probably 85% of those miles are with a gooseneck behind it. At 75K that one is not even broken in yet.

I'm tight on funds
Selling my dump trailer to a friend
This will be my last truck with my health
Just want to make a wise choice.
If it last 2 to 3 years that's probably what I got left at this point.

Hi Bruno,

what do you need the truck to do??

I would look south for used truck,
no rust or corrosion issues,

The issue was with LB7 injectors, and LLY head gaskets, both several generations before the engine you are looking at.

01-04 are the Lb7 series they had injector issues and head gasket issues on the early LB7

04.5-05 is a LLY head gasket issue with some injector issues

06-07 LBZ had piston issues if turned up a decent amount

07-10 LMM same engine as a LBZ except it has a DPF filter

11-16 LML full emissions engine from DEF to DPF
