Posting hyperlinks?

Hi all,

I've tried my darnedest to figure out how to paste a hyperlink by making one word represent the link, as opposed to seeing the entire http://someplace.com.  I click on the hyperlink button, but don't know how to make the link hook up with a word.  Any help?
